Definitions
- Platform: Elite Education Platform, owned by the British company DROOSONLINEPS LTD (registration number 14672797), referred to as "Elite".
- User: All individuals registered on the platform.
- Teacher: The person responsible for teaching the educational material, following their successful completion of the interview conducted by the platform administrators.
- Student: The person who requests services from the Elite platform.
- Educational Services: Private lessons, individual or group sessions, remote or face-to-face sessions “as required”, and any university-related services with an educational focus.
- Educational Course or Training: A set of lessons for a specific curriculum with clear objectives and outcomes, starting and ending on specific dates.
Introduction
- The platform provides educational services to school and university students. They include digital communication tools (live streaming, interactive board, chat rooms) and cloud storage tools.
- The platform doesn’t employ or contract teachers directly.
- Our instructors are a select group of specialized professors from various disciplines and countries worldwide. They are highly qualified, chosen after verifying their academic qualifications and conducting interviews with them.
- The platform links the student with the teacher, and it doesn’t claim to sign any contract on behalf of the teacher or act as their agent. The student enters into a private agreement with his/her teacher, and both are responsible for the obligations and commitments within that agreement.
- The platform is committed to provide teachers for students in group sessions that are only announced by the platform.
- The teacher is not obligated to accept any educational service requested by the student.
- The teacher is not obligated to offer any educational service at an inconvenient time for them.
- The platform has the right to modify these terms and conditions from time to time, and users may receive notifications regarding such changes. Continued use of our services will be considered as acceptance of these modifications or changes.
Accepting Terms and Conditions
- Any use of the platform's services will be considered as acceptance of these terms.
- The student must be at least 18 years old, and all students under the age of 18 who wish to benefit from the platform's services must work under the supervision of their guardian, who will be responsible for their use of the platform's services.
- Students under the age of 18 can benefit from the platform's services provided that the process of charging credit, payment, or withdrawal is carried out by an individual who is 18 years old or above.
Unethical Practices
- The platform has the right to withdraw its services from any user who violates intellectual property rights or engages in activities that involve academic misconduct. The platform also has the right to ban such users.
- Users who engage in such practices will not be entitled to any protection according to these terms.
- Any user engaging in such practices cannot request refunds or claims.
Some common forms of academic misconduct include:
- Plagiarism: Presenting someone else's work, ideas, or words as your own without proper attribution. This includes copying text from sources without citation, paraphrasing without giving credit, and using others' ideas without acknowledgment.
- Cheating: Engaging in unauthorized practices to gain an unfair advantage in exams, assignments, or other assessments. This might involve using cheat sheets, hidden notes, electronic devices, or getting unauthorized assistance during an exam.
- Fabrication: Creating false information, data, or results and presenting them as genuine.
- Collusion: Working together with others inappropriately on assignments or assessments meant to be completed individually. This could involve sharing answers, collaborating when not allowed, or submitting work produced by someone else.
- Unauthorized Collaboration: Collaborating with peers or individuals without permission when individual work is required. Some assignments or exams are meant to be done independently to assess individual understanding and skills.
- Ghostwriting: Paying someone else to complete assignments or academic work on your behalf without proper acknowledgment.
- Impersonation: Pretending to be someone else during exams or assignments, such as having someone else take an exam for you.
- Falsifying Credentials: Providing fake academic records, transcripts, or diplomas to gain admission or academic benefits.
- Misrepresentation: Providing false information on applications, assignments, or other academic materials.
- Bribery: Offering gifts, money, or favors to instructors or administrators in exchange for academic benefits.
- Sabotage: Deliberately damaging or interfering with the academic work of others, including stealing or destroying materials.
- Violation of Test Conditions: Disregarding the rules and regulations set during exams, such as using unauthorized materials or talking to others.
Discrimination
- The platform has the right to select or withdraw its services from any user as it deems appropriate.
- The platform does not consider age, gender, nationality, religious belief or political affiliation when selecting users.
- Teachers are selected based on their academic qualifications and interview results. The platform's need for specific expertise plays a crucial role in the selection of teachers.
Educational Materials and Meeting Recordings
- The teacher shares the educational materials (if applicable) with the students enrolled in the course, and they can only be accessed through the platform with the teacher's approval.
- Meeting sessions are recorded and stored on the platform's cloud storage, and they can only be accessed again through the platform with the teacher's approval.
- The educational materials and/or recorded meetings will be deleted on a specified date agreed upon between the students and the teacher, usually after the completion of the academic term in which the educational meetings were conducted.
Appearance in front of the camera
- Students are not required to turn on the camera.
- Teachers are required to turn on their cameras, especially during the first few sessions of the courses and whenever necessary.
Fees
- The platform deducts fees for the educational services it provides.
- The student pays the fees in US dollars.
- The teacher receives their payment for the service they provide in US dollars.
- The platform does not cover bank commission fees for payments, withdrawals, or currency exchanges.
- The fees for educational services are calculated based on the provided and required services.
- The fees for the courses are fixed and not subject to negotiation.
- The fees for private classes are determined through an agreement between the student and the teacher.
- The fees depend on the number of the students and the duration of the course or session.
- The teacher determines the fees for each course or credit hour on the platform.
- The platform handles payment and disbursement.
- The platform receives a percentage of the fees paid by students for its services. This percentage is determined between the teacher and the platform administrator and primarily depends on the teacher's experience and evaluation within the platform. Experienced teachers with higher experience receive a higher percentage.
- Please contact the platform administration for any inquiries regarding the fees.
Payment and Due Dates
- A notification will be sent to the user regarding any payment or due date.
- Payments are made through Visa or MasterCard.
- Other payment methods can be accepted upon communication with the platform manager and arranging the payment process.
- Payments are processed through the Stripe website.
- Teachers' dues are paid at the beginning of each month after the completion of the educational service.
Withdrawal and Refund Policy
- If a student wishes to withdraw after payment and before joining any educational session, 90% of the paid amount will be refunded.
- If a student wishes to withdraw after payment and after joining the educational session, a proportionate amount will be deducted based on the time spent by the student in the educational course, provided that the time spent does not exceed 25% of the total duration of the course. If it exceeds 25%, the student loses the right to a refund.
- The above discounts apply to the payment made for the educational service and do not apply to the balance amount.
- Students have the right to request a refund for the amount in the credited balance at any time without any deductions.
- Refunds are returned using the same payment method used to load the balance and cannot be returned through different payment methods.
Communication between Student and Teacher
Communication between the student and teacher is strictly limited to the platform, and the exchange of personal contact information is strictly prohibited. In case of violation, the user who shared any contact information will be banned and will not be entitled to request any refunds or dues.
Student Absence
- If a student is absent from a scheduled session within any course, they can watch the recorded session at any time, preferably before the next scheduled session.
- If a student is absent from a session agreed upon between the teacher and the student, the teacher has the right to collect the full fees for that session or as they see fit.
- If a student is absent from a session agreed upon between the teacher and a group of students, the teacher has the right to collect the full fees for that session or as they see fit, and the other students are not responsible for the absence of that student.
Teacher Responsibilities
- Teachers work independently and are not subject to any direction or control from the platform.
- Teachers make efforts to deliver the information in a way they deem appropriate and based on the students’ needs.
- Scheduling sessions is done in agreement with the student.
- Determining the number of hours, start and end dates of the course or training, setting goals, and assessing them are the responsibility of the teacher.
- The hourly fee is determined by the teacher, and students can negotiate that.
- The fees for the educational course or training is determined by the teacher and is fixed for all students, and is not subject to negotiation.
The following responsibilities also lie with the teacher:
- Utilizing technology in teaching.
- Having a high-speed internet connection.
- Having a computer with high specifications.
- having a good microphone and headphones.
- Providing a quiet environment away from noise.
